Volunteers Prepare to Support the 80th Anniversary Celebrations in Elista

Saglara Ankhanova, chair of the regional council of the nationwide public-state children and youth movement “Movement of the First” in the Republic of Kalmykia, reported this.

“The celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ in Elista is a historic event with major cultural and tourism dimensions. Young people across Kalmykia are actively joining preparations for the celebration, which is undoubtedly important for preserving our heritage. Applications are currently open, after which a volunteer corps will be formed. More than 50 people, including silver-age volunteers, will help deliver various events across our region,” Saglara Vyacheslavovna said.

Volunteers will accompany the procession, help regulate the pace of the column, coordinate guests, organize a field kitchen, light candles, provide information about local attractions, services and leisure facilities, explain transport schedules, and assist with route navigation and other tasks. All volunteers will receive instructions, explanations and safety guidance.
