Evening Service Held at Elista’s Kazan Cathedral Ahead of the Anniversary

Clergy and worshippers gathered at Elista’s Kazan Cathedral for an evening service on the eve of the main celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Saviour.

On the evening of 9 September 2026, a service was held at the Cathedral of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God in Elista ahead of the principal celebrations marking the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Saviour.

Clergy and parishioners prayed together during the service. The gathering provided spiritual preparation for the events scheduled for 10 September, including the Divine Liturgy, the welcoming of the venerated icon and the procession of the cross.
