Clergy Bloggers Took Part in a Familiarization Tour of Kalmykia

Clergy bloggers met descendants of 1946 eyewitnesses, visited Elista’s churches, and explored the cultural program of Kalmykia’s new pilgrimage route.

Kalmykia hosted an information tour in support of the new pilgrimage route, the launch of which is timed to the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Savior in Elista.

The trip was attended by members of the Council of Clergy-Bloggers at the Synodal Department for Church Relations with Society and the Media, as well as a representative of Foma magazine.

The guests met with relatives of eyewitnesses of the events of 1946, visited Kazan Cathedral, the Holy Cross Church and the Cathedral of Cyril and Methodius under construction. The cultural part introduced the participants to the traditions and nature of Kalmykia.
