Foma magazine published a long interview with Archbishop Justinian of Elista and Kalmykia, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Appearance of Christ the Savior in Elista.

The archbishop spoke about the circumstances of the events of September 11, 1946 and why the memory of the event was especially important for people of post-war times. A separate topic was the transmission of testimonies within families and the church community at a time when such stories were difficult to spread openly.

The interview also presents the main directions of the anniversary program and its educational significance. The full material is available on the website of the magazine “Foma”.
